After two months I went from an intermittent antenna on my signal to TWO BARS. You can't get better results for the price, it works better than the $300 setup we had. FINALLY got the connectors for this. I'm thrilled. Watch your shipping price with these guys: They charged me $35 for shipping, I contacted them about it and the charge was quickly dropped to $5. The antenna plugs it came with didn't fit my phone (Kyocera K edition), though the product description said it did. Ordered a new antenna plug, then had to order an adapter.
This antenna, when placed by a window and plugged in to the phone gives us 4 bars. The cord is only about 4 feet long, so you have to be within 4 feet of the window, but it works great and for under [.]. We live in a fringe cellphone area. You have to make sure to get the right adapter and figure out where the antenna jack is on your phone. bucks, we can get and receive clear calls. Our phones would ring and take messages, but we couldn't answer or make calls. We had about half a bar.
I know it can be purchased from Verizon's website, but I got it elsewhere for a little cheaper. -Does it get HBO.OTHER:-Using it with the V740 requires an adapter cable. -Are you stealing/sniffing Wifi.
It's no world beater, but worth the 40 dollars when considering most alternatives cost hundreds of dollars and don't appear to be providing much better results (according to many reviews I've read on Amazon and elsewhere).PRO:-Cheap, in comparison to most alternatives-More portable; again, than most alternatives. -Communicating with the mothership, are we. It seems I consistently get an extra bar or two when using this with my Verizon Wireless Novatel V740 Express card on my MacBook Pro.
-TERRORIST. I'm assuming most Express/PCMCIA/USB data cards will require a cable adapter. It's flat and light.-Requires no external power sourceCON:-I'm nitpicking, here, but it's a tad bulky, and a bit of an eyesore.
Breaking it out in public draws stares, and odd questions/remarks; such as: -What's that.
Worth the money for me. Adds at least 1 bar more reception to my Verizon 3g broadband usb card. I use it in my office to boost reception.
